Disney Live! Phineas and Ferb at DPAC March 31st!

For all you parents with Phineas and Ferb fans....the Disney Live! show is coming to DPAC! My son loves this show and we even enjoy watching it as a family! We are so excited to see this show!

Smarterer - Show Off Your Skills

Recently, I was invited to join the Bzz Campaign for Smarterer - a way to show off your smarts and skills through fun quizzes.

What is Smarterer?
"Smarterer gives users an unbiased resource to prove what they know. The website presents users with a diverse collection of tests. These include social, technical and digital topics. The user can select a test that is relevant to their knowledge and take it. Smarterer gives them their score which can be used to prove what the user knows. Users can also create tests for the Smarterer community. Users who successfully complete tests are given access to a badge identifying their success. These badges can be placed on Facebook, Twitter and Google profiles as well as blogs. They also appear on the user’s Smarterer profile. Smarterer also gives community members access to the leaderboards, which show who has the highest scores and provides icons that link to the site’s most popular tests. The current list of popular tests includes Facebook, Twitter, Google, Gmail, Chrome, CSS, Microsoft Word and Excel."

I have to admit, I much prefer taking the fun tests like pop-culture and music rather than the technical stuff...but that is just a personal preference.

Every month my son attends the Kids Workshops and loves them!

This month:
Build a Window Bird Feeder
Kids can build a window bird feeder to observe wildlife
Kids will learn to build their very own bird feeder while learning tool safety
Have fun, make friends and gain a sense of achievement and work ethic

Dates: Saturday, April 7, 2012
Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Home Depot offer a FREE hands-on workshops designed for children ages 5 - 12 on the
1st Saturday of every month. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills, tool safety and instill a sense of pride and accomplishment.
All kids get to keep their craft and receive a FREE Kids Workshop Apron, commemorative pin and certificate of achievement!
